Under the theme “Picturing the Future,” Christina Merl transforms impressions, emotions, and observations from her learning journeys into artistic forms. In every collage, every acrylic or oil composition, story, watercolour works, a poetic metaphor emerges — made visible on canvas, paper, and porcelain. "My art grows from moments of perception — fleeting, fragile, yet full of resonance. I translate what I sense beneath the surface: emotions, encounters, fragments of thought. Each painting, collage, or porcelain piece becomes a poetic metaphor, a gesture toward connection. In a world that rushes past itself, I aim to slow the gaze. To look closely for me is to care and to sense the quiet pulse between form and meaning."

An artist and friend wrote these beautiful lines for Christina: "Fantasy und Lovers symbolisieren für mich die Seele. Eagle symbolisiert die Freiheit, die wir brauchen wie die Luft zum Atmen. Flow verstehe ich vielleicht zu wenig, es spricht mich nur sehr an, da es für mich mein unerfüllbarer Wunsch nach Harmonie und Unverletzbarkeit ist und die Sensibilität zum Ausdruck bringt. Sunny ist grandios, mondän und erinnert mich an eine moderne Lady an der Côte d’Azur. Mother’s Day ist sehr ausdrucksstark in den Farben. Immortal Jellyfish ist großartig, symbolisiert es doch das ewige, wunderbare, horizontlose Meer, zu dem wir immer wieder zurückkehren, damit unsere Seele wieder Ruhe und Kraft darin finden kann. Mountains zeugt von tiefer Verbundenheit zur Natur."
