My dear friend and gifted poet Barbara has allowed me to share some of her poems with you. I find "Der Himmel beginnt in dir" such a wonderful choice for 8th of December.  Today's poem and painting were born in completely different cultural and geographical circumstances - yet the cross-cultural dynamics boils down to a very human wish: finding inner peace.
